Aubrey’s Story

“Aubrey’s” journey to motherhood was anything but easy. A recent cancer survivor, Aubrey had been told she might never have children. At just 16, she had experienced the pain of abortion, and now, cancer-free and eager to embrace life, she felt thoroughly unprepared for pregnancy. No stable job, no clear path forward – abortion seemed like her only option.

Remarkably, a friend urged Aubrey to visit Gateway Women’s Care, but she arrived absolutely determined to end her pregnancy. The baby’s father desperately wanted Aubrey to keep the child, adding to her emotional struggle and she left Gateway still undecided. But…praise God that at ten weeks and still uncertain, she returned for another ultrasound!

With the loving support of her family and the baby’s father, a second life-saving ultrasound and the safe space Gateway provided to process her fears, Aubrey finally found the courage to choose LIFE! Praise God! Today, Aubrey is the proud mother of baby Avaiyah and incredibly grateful to Gateway Women’s Care for the comfort, guidance and support she received when she needed it most
