Being directly involved with Gateway Women’s Care through volunteering is a powerful way to help make a difference in the lives of the women and men we serve! Both men and women are needed to fill these volunteer roles and training is provided for all positions. For center volunteers working with clients, a weekly commitment is required.

Gateway Women’s Care is seeking a clinic medical professional (RN/RDMS/NP) at our Raleigh and Durham locations. This can be either a full time position or part time position.  See attached job description.

Are you passionate about serving women facing unplanned pregnancies? Are you an active member of a local church? Become a church champion and help connect your church body with the mission and work of Gateway. This will involve promoting Gateway at church events, sharing the mission and ministry of Gateway, and initiating opportunities for your church to partner with Gateway through time, talents, and treasure. Provide sonograms for clients. This position is for nurses, radiology technicians and R.D.M.S. certified sonographers and requires initial client advocate training and further on-floor training, limited obstetric sonography training unless already qualified, and a commitment of one 4-hour shift each week.

Provide pregnancy tests, chaperone ultrasounds, serve as a client advocate as needed.  This position is for nurses not desiring to serve as a sonographer and requires initial client advocate training, further on-floor training and a commitment to one 4-hour shift each week.

Meet one-on-one with clients each week to discuss pregnancy test results and provide pregnancy options education and consultation. This requires initial client advocate training, further on-floor training and a commitment of one 4-hour shift each week. A client advocate needs to be a minimum of 21 years of age, possess a strong desire to serve our clients with compassion and love, and help out at the center with whatever needs arise.

Meet one-on-one with male clients each week. This position requires initial client advocate training, on-floor training and a commitment to one 4-hour shift per week.

Meet with post-abortive individuals seeking healing. This requires initial training and a varied commitment based on demand and involves leading groups through a study, or with an individual one-on-one. Both male and female volunteer facilitators are needed.

Organize a service project at one of our centers with your small group or church, or volunteer solo with our admin staff- we have a variety of opportunities for volunteers to engage with Gateway!
