Our History
Our First Center Opens
In 1984, the first pregnancy center ministry opens its doors in Raleigh as Pregnancy Life Care Center (PLCC).
Life Saving Ultrasound Added
In 2002, the ministry, now LifeCare Pregnancy Center (LifeCare) begins providing life-saving ultrasound services.
New Center Opens Near NC State
In 2007, the ministry opens a new center, Gateway, less than a mile from North Carolina State University, in order to reach and serve the city’s abortion-minded students.
Ministry Consolidates
In 2011, the ministry consolidates under one center, Gateway, closing LifeCare Center.
New Center Opens in Durham
In 2019, Gateway incorporates as Gateway Women’s Care, opening an additional pregnancy center in Durham, less than a mile from the abortion clinic.
New Center Opens in Chapel Hill
In summer 2021, Gateway opens a third pregnancy center in Chapel Hill, less than two miles from the largest Planned Parenthood in North Carolina.
